COMERICA BANK NEW YEAR’S PARADE AND DALLAS MUSEUM
OF ART ANNOUNCE SPECIAL “KING TUT” OFFER FOR PARADE SPECTATORS DMA to Offer $10 Discount on Adult Tickets on New Year’s Day 2009 ![]() On parade day (Jan. 1, 2009), visitors can receive $10 off an adult ticket ($22.50 ticket versus $32.50 holiday price) to the “Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs” exhibit. Tickets may be purchased at the Box Office or via Ticketmaster.com using the discount password NEWYEARS. DMA hours on January 1 will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the last ticket sold for 6:30 p.m. This offer is available only on Jan. 1, 2009. The Dallas Museum of Art will serve as the starting point of the 2009 Comerica Bank New Year’s Parade, which stretches from Ross Ave. in the Arts District to Victory Park at the American Airlines Center. The parade’s Opening Ceremonies are scheduled for 2 p.m. The parade will kick off at 2:30 p.m. with a performance by the Kilgore College Rangerettes. Marching in the parade, the Dallas Museum of Art will present a costumed group of “royal Egyptian guards” led by “Anubis,” the jackal-headed god believed to be the guide and protector of the dead in ancient Egypt.
