Alabama, New Jersey and Tennessee Schools Take Home Top Honors at Three-Day Event in North Texas
DALLAS, Jan. 4, 2009 — High School bands from Alabama, Tennessee and New Jersey took home top honors at the three-day National AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic Music Festival and Pageantry held Dec. 31, 2009 through Jan. 2, 2010, in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Bands participated in concert band, field show and parade competition while performing before tens of thousands of people at the Comerica Bank New Year’s Parade and nationally televised pre-game and halftime pageantry performances at the 74th annual AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic.

On December 31, Washington Township High School from Sewell, N.J., won the Field Show Grand Championship and Outstanding Auxiliary and Percussion awards. As a result, Washington Township performed its field show routine during AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic pre-game ceremonies at the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
